Baldur's Gate 3

1 month, 2 weeks - In today's Daily Fix:Wizards of the Coast reportedly have remakes of Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 in development. While they have plans for a Baldur's Gate 4, it's likely a long ways off and a remake of the first two games would hopefully hold over fans during the wait. Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 already received Enhanced Editions that were basically souped up remasters, and it's unclear what form these remakes will take. In other news, James Gunn has shared the first official look of Nicholas Hoult in the Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow, premiering next year. It features Hoult's Lex Luthor in full battle armor. And finally, we’re visiting How to Train Your Dragon’s Isle of Berk with the Ride Guys to fly through Hiccup’s Wing Gliders – all at Universal Orlando Resort.Presented by Universal Orlando Resort, and its newest theme park, Universal Epic Universe.

5 months, 1 week - It was recently revealed that a live-action adaptation of Larian’s award-winning RPG, Baldur’s Gate 3, is on the way from prestige TV makers HBO. It somewhat makes sense at first glance — you can see the Game of Thrones of it all weaving into Baldur’s Gate’s DNA, which itself isn’t shy of a fair helping of shedding both blood and clothes. But look a little closer, and the worries begin. Not necessarily when considering Craig Mazin’s involvement (we’ll get to that later) but when noticing that, apparently, Larian, Baldur's Gate 3's developers, will play no significant role in the show’s development. A decision I can’t help but feel would be a big mistake.

5 months, 3 weeks - In today's Daily Fix:A new wave of games are being added to Xbox Game Pass, and Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 is leading the charge. The third-person action shooter has never made it to any gaming subscription service, so this is a big win for Game Pass. In other news, sales of Baldur's Gate 3 and Divinity: Original Sin 2 saw an uptick since the announcement of the new Divinity game. Larian Studios also said there was an overall increase in peak concurrent numbers, with Original Sin 2 having its best month since its release in 2017. And finally, one of the original designers of Tomb Raider has confirmed that Lara Croft almost got an anime- and manga-inspired redesign for the first game.
