 | | | | | Antaloor Post - First Two Issues Print News | Category: Community Content
We have finally received two first volumes of Antaloor Post, a weekly newsletter available to Two Worlds fans.
First volume discusses main features of Temptation, and shows one of the new monsters, which are only to be found in the expansion. The interim name for the cute undead-like being, somewhat resembling of a Spider Splicer from Bioshock, is Edward - Zuxxez is open to any suggestion as to what the final name of this Taint-spawn should be.
Fans For Fans is a cool new feature also discussed in Antaloor Post, vol.1. This is the community shout-box for all new ideas, comments, suggestions, and community feedback regarding Temptation. To sweeten the pot, any fan's idea to get published in Antaloor Post will be rewarded with a mention, and a free article-pack for a lucky fan.
To use this feature email your game-related creations to jsr[at]zuxxez.com and see if your creation is published in the next edition of AP.
Antaloor Post starts a new, collectible, database of monsters - both current, and yet to be seen in the Temptation. Monsters Encyclopedia highlights two beings belonging to one species - this time, it's all about dragons, the offspring of the Alpha Beasts. Stone and Sand Dragons are discussed in detail - and there are some interesting things to know about them!
Antaloor Post closes the issue with a helpful hint, aimed at those who want to know all the inside-outs of the game. The quest to get rich very soon, very fast, is explained in detail - as it turns out, for mere seven wolf hearts, you can get 50 000 gold pieces!
Second volume, dated December 2007, presents Reality Pump - developers of the game. The history and bio of the studio is covered, and less-known facts about how they roll are presented. Unlike most other gaming studios out there, Reality Pump makes games without outside resources or help, using only their own technologies and software. This makes them more flexible and advanced than other studios - which can be seen in Two Worlds, with its incredibly stable, productive and tweakable engine. A group photo of all team members is included.
This issue of Antaloor Post briefly introduces another creature to be found in The Temptation. This time its nothing too exotic or fantastic - a common rhino will apparently be roaming a new world-space, savannah, to make it more lifelike and believable. There is also an ingame picture of the animal included - we certainly hope it will be nothing as clunky as its counterpart in the Gothic series!
Monsters Encyclopedia seems to be a permanent feature now. This time we get to know more about Giants, and their relatives, Cyclopes. There are interesting tidbits of lore about those not-so-brutish creatures - so read on!
Second issue of AP closes with another helpful hint, this time explaining how to get inside Enclave without ever working for the Necromancers. Just as in case of Gorelin, a closed-down village only accessible to Giriza friends, in Enclave you only need to climb above the fence, and jump inside the settlement.

New Screen For Temptation! Print News | Category: Community Content
Zuxxez have published another teasing screen taken from the upcoming TW:Temptation. The screenie shows a strange creature, probably amphibian in nature, partly stepping into the water. Dynamic water surface, which captured our eye last time we visited Temptation page, is also present here. No details are yet dislosed by Zuxxez/Reality Pump as to what this creature will be called, and what method of transportation it will use. One thing is certain, though, this is one bad monster!

 | | | | | Two Worlds Interactive Map -- Updated! Print News | Category: Community Content
AEon has updated his Two Worlds Interactive map to include more true-to-life landscapes in the map background. Taken straight from the game editor, up-to-date images enhance browsing experience to make the most of the interactive map - now it looks a bit like the landscape seen in the game.
You can switch between visualization styles in the left pane of the page. Browse here:
Link
to see what options you have.
Unfortunately, due to the fact that the map is heavily scripted and cookie-dependant, you'll need to enter the site without any cookies stored for it, if you want to see new backgrounds. To do so, AEon suggests visiting the site with a special link:
Link
This link will automatically reset all site settings to default.
There have also been minute updates to the minimaps covering underground locations. While still unnamed (hence of little use to the average player), underground locations can now be navigated in much the same manner as any other location on the map - dungeon minimap images are also available in new styles, including straight-from-the-game screenshots of those locations.
New background is optimized for website. Therefore, its resolution is very low, and AEon still needs to fine tune this image in Two Worlds Editor, in order to achieve proper true-to-life view. For now, it's an eye-candy allowing to be more immersed in the big map - minimap images are still low-res captures from the quest-editor.
We certainly hope AEon will continue to improve his project, and make it even more usable.

Reynen Starfyre's Elite Mods Print News | Category: Community Content
The most common complaint since the game's release pertained to difficulty and balancing of the game. Vanilla Two Worlds provides a decent challenge at the beginning only, afterwards almost any player becomes an uber-character, virtually untouchable by foes. Latest patch, 1.6, made things a bit better - it restricted mana and HP counts, increased overall difficulty, implemented some new tactics for higher-level beasts and sentients. However, the patch still missed out on several difficulty related aspects, such as weaponry damage, mana costs for spells (which are either too small or too great - mana costs were almost untouched, but mana pool has been crippled!), running and riding speeds, etc..
Silvermane's original mod (The New World) attempted to rebalance most of the game. Since the original modder stopped contributing, the game desperately lacked in this aspect; Reynen Starfyre, of Starfyre Studios (noted for exceptional work for titles such as Oblivion), decided to scrap as much of the old mod as possible, enhance it to the point where it was a new mod altogether, and released it as Two Worlds Elite Mod.

Temptation: First Screenshots Print News | Category: Community Content
On http://www.2-worlds.com/temptation/ you can find three brand new screenshots, featuring several landscapes and monsters to be found in The Temptation. The screens look very promising, and what really took our breath away was the water shot with cliffs (picture no. 1 in the promo-site). We have already heard that water and water effects in The Temptation will be far superior to what there is now in Two Worlds, more so - they will outclass any gaming liquid currently available for PCs. The screenshot seems to feature dynamic water plain (liquid with non-flat surface!) and really impressive reflections. Architecture seen in the screenshots is also done perfectly; there are no such buildings in Antaloor at the present, so this probably will be an added landmass or location far from current shores. The cliffs, seen in the picture, contradict today's state of Two Worlds Editor - which has no capability of creating hollow spaces in monolithic rock; it's not possible to make such a cliff connected in the upper area, but empty at the lower area with currently available SDK. This also suggests, that different, more efficient tools will be used in production of The Temptation. We just can't wait!
All this bodes well for PC users, but begs the question: will the console add-on be fully compatible - and as rich in detail - as the PC version?

 | | | | | Weekly Top Ten: Top Ten Most Wanted Expansion Features Print News | Category: Community Content
A new expansion is being worked on for Two Worlds, but as to what that expansion will contain...well...nobody knows. Since the expansion is much a mystery to us as it is to you, we want to know for this week's Top Ten we want to hear what your most wanted expansion features are.
This week we're looking for your Top Ten Most Wanted Expansion Features
This thread will be allowed to garner responses until midnight, December 12th, at which time a panel of judges will select the top 10 responses to be posted on Two Worlds Vault and, of course, the winner of the week!
The person chosen for submitting the #1 response will be awarded with either a one-week VIP or a permanent title. Rewards are subject to good board history.
Winners have one week (7 days) from when the results are announced to claim their prizes. If prizes are unclaimed after a week, they will go to another eligible person (second place if they do not have the same reward, or someone who achieved an honorable mention.) In the case of no other placed or honorable mention winners, they will go to another contestant, judged by the same merits as that of the original contest.
Unless otherwise specified, VIP contest winners do not receive a customized icon.
The responses must also be appropriate by the ToS of IGN and the VN Boards.
Good luck everyone!

Two Worlds Control Panel - Mods Print News | Category: Community Content
This is a very special function of TWCP. It allows to download, install, and remove, as well as rate or comment, any mod found in the Inside Two Worlds online mod database. Note, that edition options only modify mods found on your PC, not their original sources at the website. For all the mods to be properly listed and installed/downloaded, you need your firewall to allow TWCP to connect to the Internet.
