About: Ganttproject is a pure Java application thats lets you plan project using Gantt charts. It lets you easily breaks down a project into tasks, show dependencies, and manage resources. It uses a file format based on XML and can export into HTML and PDF documents using XSL transformations. The software is translated into 20 languages. Changes: This version makes custom fields available in PDF, HTML, and CSV exports with a few limitations. Custom fields are also processed when importing GanttProject files. The set of visible fields in resource table is now saved to the project files. Bugs in of import and export, Gantt chart rendering, and printing were fixed. Some translations were updated.
About: xnsdoc is documentation generator for XML namespaces defined by W3C XML Schema in HTML in a JavaDoc like visualization. xnsdoc supports all common schema design practices like chameleon, russian doll, salami slice, venetian blind schemas, or circular schema references. xnsdoc can be used from the command line, as an Apache Ant task, as an Apache Maven plugin, as an Eclipse plugin, or integrated as a custom tool in many XML development tools such as StylusStudio, oXygen XML, or XMLWriter. Changes: This release fixes several minor bugs and supports OASIS XML -Schema catalogs up to five times faster.
About: Teamwork 3 is a Web-based application for team work management. It supplies groupware, issue tracking, cost control, and document and project management features with fine-grained security in a friendly interface. Teamwork is easy to integrate with your IT infrastructure. Supports multiple databases (via hibernate), browsers, and languages. Changes: Security was improved in the worklog action in worklog list. The startup logging distributed Tomcat was fixed along with some bugs in "links". The "todo" part was fixed for the case when no task exists.
About: SONaFR is a small system based upon OpenBSD 4.1 with router, NAT, and firewall capabilities that fits on one floppy. No hard disk or CD-ROM is necessary. The system boots from a floppy and all you have to do is to configure it. It also has transparent firewall and bandwidth control capabilities.
About: hmount is a simple interface to HAL for mounting and unmount hot-plugged devices. Unlike gnome-mount, it doesn't depend on gconf, GTK+, X, or GNOME libraries. Changes: hal and hal_storage detection were fixed. New HAL rules were adopted. Better (smaller) output is provided in non-verbose mode.
About: Sparklet is a networked multiplayer 2D space shooting game in which the player pilots a space ship and fights other players. Different maps, space ships, and game modes are available. Changes: There have been major upgrades in the libraries the game uses, especially in the network subsystem. A problem that occurred when players connected to the server with the same name was fixed along with scoring in team deathmatch mode. Binary compatibility was improved, allowing the game to run on even more Linux and Windows machines. Lots of other improvements and bugfixes were made.
About: JSurveyLib is a Java survey/questionnaire engine that is embeddable and easy to configure. It supports many different question types and a powerful scripting language for a more interactive experience. Changes: This edition adds a drop-down question type and much more powerful scripting support.
About: GeoQO is a waypoint, geocaching, and waymarking database. It is extremely fast and offers a wide variety of utilities for manipulating waypoints. Though designed for geocaching and waymarking, it should be usable for any waypoint management. It is highly extensible; writing new import, export, search, display, and other plugins is easy to do. Changes: This version comes with a completely revamped GUI, an improved Windows install script, a bunch of other features, and a slew of bugfixes.
About: Perl Audio Converter is a tool for converting multiple audio types from one format to another. It supports AAC, AC3, AIFF, APE, AU, AVR, BONK, CDR, FLA, FLAC, LA, LPAC, M4A, MP2, MP3, MP4, MPC, MPP, OFR, OFS, OGG, PAC, RA, RAM, RAW, SHN, SMP, SND, SPX, TTA, VOC, WAV, WMA, and WV. It can also convert audio from the following video extensions: RM, RV, ASF, DivX, MPG, MKV, MPEG, AVI, MOV, OGM, QT, VCD, SVCD, M4V, NSV, NUV, PSP, SMK, VOB, FLV, and WMV. A CD ripping function with CDDB support, batch conversion, tag preservation for most supported formats, independent tag reading/writing, and extensions for Amarok, Dolphin, and Konqueror are also provided. Changes: A service menu for Dolphin was added along with a Polish translation. A few minor bugfixes and improvements were made.
About: Apache Cayenne is a persistence framework that provides object-relational mapping (ORM) and remoting services. It has a wealth of unique and powerful features and can address a wide range of persistence needs. Cayenne seamlessly binds one or more database schemas directly to Java objects, managing atomic commit and rollbacks, SQL generation, joins, sequences, and more. With Cayenne's Remote Object Persistence, those Java objects can even be persisted out to clients via Web Services. With native XML serialization, objects can be even further persisted to non-Java clients. Changes: A "Null ObjectId" exception from DataContext.localObject() was fixed along with a memory leak in DispatchQueue and EventManager. Deserialization of DataContext no longer fails when useSharedCache is false. A Frontbase NUMERIC type mapping typo was fixed. Enum-mapped columns are now properly handled in expressions. An issue where object properties were unexpectedly set to null through forceMergeWithSnapshot was corrected. A potential bug with deleting uncommited objects from a nested DataContext was fixed.
About: The mod_w2ml Apache module is a W2ML processor. W2ML (Web 2 Markup Language) is a declarative markup language that extends XHTML with XML namespaces to make is possible to edit Web pages online in WYSIWYG mode. W2ML handles server-side inclusion, access control, element-level editing, and templatized editing (WYSIWYG editing of structured data like list items, guestbook messages, or forum messages). W2ML is processed on the server side and requires no browser plugin. Changes: Access control based on regex matching of request parameters and internal variables was implemented. On the browser side, the edit toolbar is now opened near the edited element and fixed-positioned.
About: SiSU (Structured information, Serialized Units) is a lightweight markup based, text structuring and publishing framework (that features granular search). With minimal markup of a plaintext file, it produces: plain-text, HTML, XHTML, XML, ODF, LaTeX, PDF, and populates an SQL database at an object/paragraph level for granular searches. Prepare documents using your text editor of choice, then use SiSU to generate the desired output formats. SiSU is controlled from the command line.
About: Frugalware is a general-purpose Linux distribution designed for intermediate users who are not afraid of text mode. "The Frugalware Philosophy" is about simplicity, multimedia, and design. The authors try to make Frugalware as simple as possible while not forgetting to keep it comfortable. Frugalware uses Judd Vinet's pacman package manager. Changes: Linux kernel 2.6.22.9, Glibc 2.6.1, GCC 4.2.1, KDE 3.5.7, GNOME 2.20, XFCE 4.4.1, OpenOffice 2.3.0, and Firefox 2.0.0.7 were included. A live CD called FwLive is now available. The installation is now logged. Romanian, Swedish, Italian, and Danish are now supported. New graphical tools were included: Gfpm (package manager) and Gnetconfig (network configurator). The Frugalware User Manual is now over 100 pages in length.
About: mxGraph is a JavaScript library that uses built-in browser capabilities to provide an interactive drawing and diagramming solution. Target applications are Web based applications that require workflow/BPM, diagram, network, or general graph editing to be available in-place on a Web page. Changes: This release adds support for the strict doctype, so the location of the tool-tips and the rubber band selection now correctly take into account the scroll bars. The Java backend supports internationalization, and UTF characters are correctly handled in the communications. The background panning in Internet Explorer has been fixed, and the graph bounds now include overlapping labels. There are a number of minor bugfixes.
About: white_dune is a graphical VRML97 editor, simple NURBS/Superformula 3D modeller and animation tool. VRML97 (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) is the ISO standard for displaying 3D data over the Web via browser plugins ("HTML for realtime 3D"). It has support for animation, real-time interaction, and multimedia (images, movies, and sounds). white_dune can read, create and display VRML97 files and let the user change the scenegraph/fields. It also has support for stereoscopic view via "quadbuffer"-capable stereo visuals, and support for 3D input devices like a joystick, spaceball, or magnetic tracker. Changes: This release added node semantics for ISO/IEC FCD 19775-1r1:200x X3D draft "Rigidbodyphysics" nodes. A missing self-test of X3DV files was fixed. An incorrect error when loading a X3DV NurbsCurve was fixed. A missing conversion from primitive to NurbsSurface on some menu points was included. A crash that occurred before showing an error message when detecting unsupported fields was fixed. Wrong line number reporting on errors was fixed. A parser rule that forbid "inputOutput" in X3DV Script nodes was fixed. An "X3DV with rigid body XJ3D extensions" item was added in the preview settings dialog to generate XJ3D special "xj3d_RigidBodyPhysics" component names.
About: M2Crypto is built from Python, OpenSSL, and SWIG. It makes accessible to the Python programmer DH, DSA, RSA, symmetric ciphers, message digests, HMACs, and SSL and S/MIME functionality. Changes: typedef Py_ssize_t was insufficiently guarded, and now follows PEP 353. This prevented building on at least Red Hat Linux and Debian Linux (unstable).
About: jdbfviewer allows you to display dbf files in a JTable view (and optionally delete rows). Not all versions of dbf are supported. The memo-field isn't tested. No future development is planned. Changes: This release adds info fields for row and column. Reading data is a bit more fault tolerant. An encoding switch has been added to read different charsets.
About: youtube-dl is a small command-line program for downloading videos from YouTube.com. Changes: This release fixes a minor aesthetic bug present in the previous official release.
About: RESTORE is an enterprise network backup and recovery solution for Windows, Novell, Mac OS X (data fork), Unix, and Linux systems. It is scalable to a complete backup solution for multiple workstations, servers, and data centers. It operates over local area networks, wide area networks, and the Internet. Changes: Bugs have been addressed. Quotas should now be working.
About: ItSucks is a Web spider with the ability to download (and resume) files. It is also highly customizable with regular expressions and download templates. All backend functionality is also available in a separate library. Changes: This release contains a complete rewrite and redesign of the graphical user interface, which makes ItSucks much easier to use and understand. Also added is proxy support, maximum connections per server, and refactoring of the core library. Although this is a pre-release, it should be pretty stable.
About: Das Schaefchen is a lightweight HTTP server for Linux platforms. It supports the minimum requirements of the HTTP/1.1 protocol and virtual hosts, basic authentication (which can be used to protect either files or directories), directory listing, byte ranges, and reverse proxy. It is an event-driven server that runs as a single process with a single thread using non-blocking I/O. It uses epoll as the event notification mechanism to multiplex control between active connections. Changes: This release fixes a bug in the reverse proxy. Now the Web server can handle absolute URIs. Error logs are written to a log file. WebDAV methods are now understood and passed to the backends.
About: Absolute is a lightweight Slackware Linux derivative distribution that uses an Icewm, ROX-Filer window/file manager combination. It comes with Firefox, The GIMP, MPlayer, K3B, kTorrent, Gaim, Frostwire, Gftp, StarDict, Skype, and many other titles all set up and ready to run. Several utilities are included to ease configuration and management. It is compatible with all Slackware 11 packages and can be installed just like a Slackware disk, except that you cannot choose which packages to install or remove, as it just installs everything. Changes: Fairly extensive changes in terms of bug removal and added features. Major fixes include mounted external volumes writable by user as well as root. The clearFstab script is tamed, GUI login no longer leads to any missing resources problems, GIMP scripts are patched to work with the 2.4 series, epdfview replaces xpdf as the PDF viewer, Firefox is updated and includes all header files to compile apps against, an installer is available (as root) for folks lucky enough to legally use "restricted" multimedia files, Audacity 1.3.3 is included, and checkinstall version 1.5.3 works and has been patched to behave nicely.
About: Code Browser is a folding and outlining editor. It is a lightweight but powerful tool for structuring and browsing source code using folders and links. It is especially designed to keep a good overview of the code of a large project. Changes: This version fixes severe regressions from the previous release. A crash could occur when closing a window, and the GTK+ version was unusable because of characters written twice.
About: jHomenet is a home automation application. jHomenet uses both X-10 and Dallas Semiconductor 1-Wire network sensors and devices to collect sensor data and control devices. jHomenet can be programmed to respond to events, including particular sensor data values or time-of-day events. Changes: This release contains minor bugfixes along with minor feature enhancements, including added support the for the Dallas Semiconductor DS-2405 1-Wire switch.
About: camp2ascii is a tool for converting Campbell Scientific binary files into ASCII (formatted as CSV, SQL, etc.). It extracts the data stored in the binary files created by data loggers while trying to be fast, reliable, and to extract as much information as possible. It should also work on a wide range of platforms. Changes: The Tob1 file format is now supported alongside tob2 and tob3. Almost all Campbell Scientific data types are now supported and validated. Critical sections of the code have been cleaned up in order to make it portable to other architectures (64 bytes, endianness, etc.). A few bugfixes and some code cleanup are also part of this release.
