This is just a little spoiler free news update on MoTB 4 days after release in Europe. As you would expect MoTB is being discussed in the Bioware MoTB forums, and from what we've read thus far, the game is living up to expectations, exceeding them even! The story/plot appears to be great and the writing excellent. Companions have a depth to them that makes the player feel that they are important, as opposed to "cartoon cut outs". Another major improvement is that Companions conversation trees frequently update after events/situations you've been in (which didn't happen in the OC). The level of polish appears to be exactly what Obsidian have claimed it to be, and perhaps even better.
Very few bugs are being reported, the main problems initially being the install of MoTB, which has been addressed with hot fixes and instructions on how to do a good install etc. and people getting used to the new camera modes. On the Toolset side there are irritating issues with the CopyObject returning an invalid value, and some Meta Tiles having the wrong textures attached to them. However there are a lot of nice placeables and several critter appearances. Overall MoTB is being received thus far with a lot of enthusiasm all round.
Rob McGinnis has posted up a simple set of instruction on how to install MoTB to avoid errors/conflicts. When installing MoTB, please use the following instructions:

Transition Tutorial by Steinin(No Story (Ex: Resource, Level ups, etc.)) - A small module covering basic transitions such as: Door to Door, Triggers, Waypoints and conversation activated transitions. Quick-cast Overhaul by Arutema(Minor UI change) - The quick-cast screen is a great improvement over NWN1, but is not without its flaws. The Spontaneous Conversion checkbox is small and hard to find, and the metamagic icons are too small on a high-res display. This overhauls the quick-cast UI, with larger metamagic icons down the side, and a large Spontaneous Conversion button at the top.
Realms of Ultima Prefabs - Moongates by MokahTGS(Exterior : Other) - Here is a simple system for Moongate travel for use in Ultima themed projects as well as anything else, because they are just that nifty. This system has been themed for Ultima with town names as destinations, but could easily be changed to use however you see fit. This is a fully functional system for using blue moongates in a world. It extends the system created by ...
Secret Doors/Trap Doors by Tzell Winterhaven(Scripting routines) - I'm no scripter. I was disappointed that NWN2 did not included/finish the secret door scripts used in NWN1 and/or did not include "placealbe" doors to be used with these scripts. Rewriting the scripts was no problem. It is the door placeables that was the issue. I created two "wooden" door placeables (made from a crate) for both the wall and floor trap doors and two

1.07 beta bugs fixed in 1.10? We elected to not include programming fixes so that there would be less chance of bugs breaking MoTB when we brought the two code forks together.
Real quick: those of you experiencing crashes, please check your crash logs and let me know if the following error is in your crash logs:
C:\Program Files\Atari\Neverwinter Nights 2\nwn2main.exe caused a Stack Overflow exception in module MSVCR80.dll at 001b:78150c62.
Thanks.
Also, remember: Insulting the devs does not help the situation and will only get you banned. We are fully willing to fix the issues you report, but insulting the devs is not only unnecessary, but against the TOS for these forums.
Also, as I have said many times before, if you feel your issues isn't being listened to or responded to, please feel free to send me a PM anytime.
Crash when loading in MoTB For those of you experiencing crashes, please send me a copy of your DXDiag and any crashlogs you might have from NWN2.
The crash log should be located in your install directory.
Please send me a PM here when you are ready and I will respond with the email address to send it to.

There's also a missing texture on pretty much every tile from the Mythallar group in the Castle Interior... I think tno01_wtcliff05 is the correct texture for it. Tiles are tni02_a02_01 through 09.
Strange, the tni02_fade3 texture doesn't seem to exist? Took the tni01_stone01 and added the fade to black on the bottom. Also fixed some WOK issues on that group, and the wrong material setting on that bottom mesh.
TNO:Barrows, Final Room Group (7x7) Two square textures missing on centre island (missing in minimap too), and the bridge "pads" as well.
Missing moss texture (was from a placeable) added.
The bridge pads are there to help align the placeable columns (to be added, that's next after the amphitheater). They animate so you set the tilegroup's animation to animloop1 after you're done and they should disappear.
Also EnvScheme in areag.ini is set to 25 -- I don't think that exists in the standard environment.2da, unless EnvScheme is one-based even though the 2da is zero-based? Hmm, that could be it. That would explain why TNO:Exterior is set to 24 and gets "reset to black"...
environments.2da added, that should fix that issue.

Today we have a Neverwinter Nights Sound file in the spotlight created by Travis A. Richards (Snafe). Titled "Fanfare of Darkness", this short piece is given a dramatic mood by the use of minor chords and sonorous bass notes. The chiming bells give it a funereal air. A very nice atmospheric piece which could be put to good use! Here's an excerpt:
This is a fanfare. It is not intended to be very long.
It is a portion of the third movement of one of my compositions: "Symphony No. 1, Neverending Nights."
Enjoy!
Thanks for your contribution Travis A. Richards (Snafe). If you'd like your work in the spotlight, drop me a line.

The Mount of Evil Counsel by Nir Idan(Single Player) - The Mount of Evil Counsel was ruled by a dreadful and powerful witch for many, many years. With the help of her minions the witch gathered helpless children from places near and far, to satisfy her ever-growing hunger for tender human meat. But one day, a certain child was sent to her who changed everything. The Mount of Evil Counsel is a very short, single player only module, designed for
The Keep on the Borderlands by Black Rain Software(Single Player) - Our interpretation of the classic B2 module from TSR. Built from the ground up using the NWN2 engine. All feedback is welcome. Enjoy!
New and Revised Cleric Domains by Kaedrin(Other) - New and Revised Cleric Domains v1.00 This is my New and Revised Cleric Domains pack that adds 11 new domains and expands 10 of the original domains with more spells to closer match the Spell Compendium. This is the stand-alone version. Kaedrin's PRC pack will be updated with these new domains and spells in the next release and can be found here:
Inventory Slots by Forbidden(Minor UI change) - Since most of the UI changes haven't updated for 1.10, I decided to do a couple of quick hacks of the inventory screen, since I can't stand the four tiny bags. The first one is shamelessly inspired by Charlie's UI, with double-bags below the portrait. The second is widescreen-style with all 128 inventory slots shown at once.
Liberation Fonts by Forbidden(Other) - I can't stand the default fonts in NWN2. While they look all medieval, they're really a pain to read, especially at higher resolution where they are downright tiny. So I put in Red Hat's exceptional Liberation fonts and an updated fontfamily.xml. This hack is not for the weak-hearted, it may work well or it may not work at all for you. The problem is size. NWN2 stupidly coded the sy..
Assassin's dagger by Vanlhok Rokdhur(Weapons) - Two daggers with reverse blades. Fully tintables. Deux dagues avec des lames inversées (remplace les deux premiers modeles). Enjoy
MWM Fryingpan Club by MWMDragon(Weapons) - This is a brushed metal fryingpan club, to fill another reqest ;) You can find it in the Club Appearance area. Put this file into your hak directory to have access to it ingame as well as in the toolset.
Druid`s fix by Nard(Spells) - This fix lets Nature`s Avater, Greater Magic Fang and Magic Fang to work on dragon shapes, magical beast shapes and dragon companion. Why I think it is a bug and it needs to be fixed ? I have some reasons for it. 1.Dragon copmanion is weaker tnen animal companion with Nature`s Avater, Greater Magic Fang buffs. 2.Dragon shapes isn`t better then elemental shapes. It`s even worse for magi...

Camera problems in MotB In Strategy Mode, set the Camera Focus to "Directly on Controlled Character" then make sure that Turn Camera on Mouse Hitting Edge of Screen is checked.
I think that will get you what you want.
Can't get out of the first level map (the ruins) It's not a bug that I think I've ever seen if it is one. Getting out of the very first level doesn't require you to do anything special - just click on one of the exits.
Is there a certainty that this will happen if you just install MotB over a clean NWN2 install, or is this only recommended to eliminate the chance of this happening?
I appreciate the fix of course, but this is a little disappointing as I had hoped to reinstall NWN2 and install MotB on top of it without having to patch the base game first. I do appreciate the fix for the issue, though.
Patching will ensure that the NWN2 OC gets fully patched.

For TNO exterior, in the City section the grave tiles tno01_o10_02 , tno01_o10_03, tno01_o10_05, and in the grass section tno01_o10_08 all have a white square on the ground (missing texture?), and in the city graves tno01_o10_06 has a white rectangle on the face of one of the headstones.
Aha, I was filtering out the resources by the prefix and skipped the texture for that bit because it was named "tnp_dirta01", uploaded.
The loadscreen problems I thought I was seeing earlier seem to be gone, probably I didn't have complete filesets this morning. The only other thing I noticed was with some minimaps for tsw01: the "MI_" prefix is upper-case rather than lower-case.
Most likely, as it took awhile to upload the 400mb, so if you were syncing in the middle of it, missing files might have occurred. I'm done uploading now aside from the bug fix.
Also: - added the docked ship to TDM01 Caverns - fixed a WOK error on the corner of a farm field in TTR01 Rural - TSW01 SteamWorks (sewers reskin you saw in Infinite Dungeons)
I think I'll add the amphitheater next to TCN01 City Exterior.
More: Removed extraneous gravestone box from tno01_o10_06 The missing texture is tni02_cracks01 but it doesn't exist in any of the WC HAKs that I could see. And in fact, I don't remember that room ever, which might explain why it slipped by QA. Found what could be a copy from twc01_cracks01 so I copied it over and renamed it, and seems to work ok.
