Tim Tan took a few moments to let the community know what's been going on at NCSoft headquarters in Austin!
Looking Ahead
As the Fall season begins, its a good time to look at the changes that have been going on for Lineage II, as well as what is in store for the coming months. First off, I look around and see a couple of different faces on the team. Omega and I have stepped up to new roles, but bring years of experience on the project to the table. Alyra and Twinmoon are two new additions to the team that have quickly become accustomed to their community and marketing roles, respectively. Its always a good feeling knowing that Spam is at his post leading the customer support team and helping to make the overall product better.
The latest poll on whether transfers will affect server politics has some good discussion on the official baords. Most say it will, and the poll results reflect that so far. Cast your vote and let us know what you think!
Siege Report! Yes, every week we have the updates of who holds what and where. Check out this week's report and see which of the top dogs hold the castles on your server! And speaking of castles...
Lord British's recent invitiation-only event was yet another great chance for NCSoft fans to meet and greet the makers of some of the worlds greatest MMOGs. Googlopolos has a full article on the event!

We bring you another roleplay event to be held on Lionna!
On Sunday, October 7th at 5 pm EST HammerStrike will be defending Giran Castle on the Lionna server for the second time!! This is a significant feat because HammerStrike is a Dwarven clan!!
With the exception of a Snow White (Ceorla our Bishop) (what dwarven clan would be complete without Snow White?) it is an all dwarf clan!!!
While they admit that it has been a combination of luck and dwarves determination that has gotten them the castle so far they realize that luck doesn't last forever. Now they are calling on all dwarves and dwarves at heart to help defend their castle! Imagine a battle feild full of mighty dwarves and their golems!!
HammerStrike would love for this to be the largest showing of DWARF power in the history of L2! Come on out and join them, show your dwarven pride! Dwarves of any lvl are welcome just come prepared to spend two hours laughing like you've never laughed before ! If you don't already have a dwarf on Lionna come on over and roll one up for the seige, sure a lvl one dwarf will die alot but it will be fun doing it!
Hammerstike welcomes one and all to what they hope will be the biggest dwarven seige in L2 history!
For this week's image, I've selected a view taken by Amileria from high upon a mountain looking straight at one of the starting regions in Aden: GLUDIN. A turning platform for class change quests and various newby hunting grounds, Gludin may be fairly deserted it's still a place to cross roads with friend and enemy -- Enjoy!
Have you screened one of those exceptional shots? Want to share your visions? I'm looking for your screenshots of the areas that you find especially beautiful. All you have to do is send them in to Seridove and we'll feature them on the front page of the Lineage 2 Vault.
Staff writer Nerukan stopped by Sieghardt and scheduled some time to speak to PameanWraith and his wife Vampyress, co-leaders of Wrath of the Just. The leaders of this level 6 clan is very active in the community including working for (the now silent) Lineage2Radio and of course being one of the most dedicated guide writers for Lineage 2 NA.
Richard Garriott to keynote the 2007 Independent Game Conference
Austin Convention Center November 29 & 30 2007
AUSTIN, Texas, September 26, 2007 - The Independent Game Conference is delighted to announce that Richard Garriott, the creator of Ultima Online and Richard Garriotts Tabula Rasa®, has agreed to make a Keynote presentation at the event.
L2 Vault staff writer, Brian "G-man" Loh, was on site at Dave & Busters for the NCSoft Meet & Greet this past Friday. Along with a truckload of swag, he brought us an inside report.
At the Austin NCSoft Meet-and-Greet party on September 22, 2007, fans were invited to celebrate NCSoft's popular MMOs with the people responsible for creating their favorite online fantasy realms.
Held at Dave and Busters in the beautiful northern Austin, TX, hundreds of fans waited in line with breathe abated for the chance to meet with the likes of Richard Garriott, Tim "Ornery" Tan, Sam "Omega" Han, and Alyra and to see what NCSoft has planned for the future of MMO gaming.
Austin, TX, Sept. 22 - NCsoft held a fan meet-and-greet event in Austin
where gaming legend, Richard Garriott, met with hundreds of fans as well
as with The Defuser, AKA Jarrett Crippen, the City of Heroes devotee who
won Sci-Fi Channel's "Who Wants To Be A Superhero" reality show.
Garriott, who is developing the soon-to-be-released Tabula Rasa,
appearing as "General British" in full uniform was joined by the Ghost
Widow, one of the signature characters from City of Villains. The event
also included representatives from other NCsoft titles including Dungeon
Runners, Guild Wars, Lineage I and II, as well as City of Heroes and
Villains, who signed autographs and provided insight into their
respective games.
Crippen appeared along with the City of Heroes representatives and gave
autographs to an enthusiastic crowd. Crippen was also promoting a
non-profit organization, "Scare for a Cure", an Austin-based Halloween
haunted house that raises money for breast cancer research.
The invitation-only fan event included Garriott answering questions from
attendees as well as providing autographed Tabula Rasa items. NCsoft has
conducted a series of meet-and-greet events round the country this year,
providing time for fans to meet one-on-one with its game developers.
A new week has started and sieges took place over the weekend. Right here on Vault we have the results compiled for you.
We are currently looking for siege reporters from the various servers, people who are politically aware and who know which clans are in which alliances, which clans are alts of other clans, etc. If you are interested, contact me via PM here on the site!
A big congratulations to Tim, who won our Make Me A Server Contest! Interested in what he suggested? Check it out:
Name of Proposed Server: Rapture
Proposed rules: #1 - Eliminate the Chaotic Weapons entirely.
#2 - Increase xp/sp/drops by a factor of 5.
#3 - Make it a "relaxed" server, with a playtime of 15 hours a week.
Opening upon the release of the CT1 expansion, many casual players should flock to the server due to the relaxed state, no chatic weapons to give a massive boost in the first weeks, and a casual friendly 5X rate.
Short and to the point, Rapture embodies the "casual gaming" server type that has been burning up the official forums. Thank you to all our contestants, and Tim, expect your loot to arrive soon!
We've been reading about the server transfers, your opinions about them, and what servers you'll transfer to.
But now we ask an important question:
Do you think that transfers will upset the political scenes of your servers?
With the potential for high-level characters and clans to hop to a new server, do you think that the current state of affairs on your server will be affected? Are your dominant clans strong enough to take on all comers, or will they fall in the face of possible new arrivals?
Hello everyone! This morning, Alyra posed a question to the community at large. We reproduce it here on the Vault, in hope that you'll follow the link and give her an answer.
Hi everyone, happy Friday!
For the past few weeks, I've been exploring some ideas to make it easier for players to find clans on their respective server, and also for clans to get the word out that they're recruiting. I'm hoping, as I'm sure you are, that CT1 will bring new players. I want to make it as easy as possible for those new players to find clans among you all.
I'd like to hear from all of you. How does your clan recruit? How did you find your clan? What would you suggest to make finding a clan, or new clan members easier? As a member of a clan, what methods do you use to recruit new members: official forum/other forums, clan website, in-game in major cities, etc. Please keep new players in mind when offering your suggestions and ideas.
Seri's latest poll wants to find out which service most people are looking forward to... are you psyched for a sex change or just itching to ditch your server for another one? So far, server change is in the lead. Vote in the poll and let us know which service is most important to you!
Tuesday saw the latest Lady of Lineage, Eleanore and also a very special Tuesday release of our Weekly Siege Report! It was also patch day, and the event has ended - all unused medals have been removed. Wrath of Just has info on the Zaken's Curse Reward.
If you have articles, screenshots, event info, or any L2-related content that you'd like to share with the Lineage 2 community, send it in! Movies, art, wallpapers, articles... you name it! You can send them to us using our convenient submissions page.

Congratulations to xSelinax of the PhoenixAshes clan for winning the Breaded Chicken Pirate Spudnik's event!
We even have a screenshot of the notorious pirate himself!
Of course, the answer to the riddle was contained in a post by our very own Seridove, but it seemed that xSelinax hadn't seen that. She was lucky enough to have a B.Rez from the event, and that meant she won a level 52 lifestone!
