For those of you who haven't played BFME2 in a long time or even since the last patch, BTToons has created a comic that will bring you back to one of the most annoying features in the game. Well at least I found it very annoying... Make sure to check it out here.
It has been a long time since BFME1 has been in the news outside of Maps and Mods. But today I want to bring up a topic that has had its ups and downs to help pin point issues within our beloved BFME1. Over time Patch 1.03 has been beaten and put through the test of time and things have emerged from it that only the hardcore players have seen.
In this I want to create a list of those broken items or awkward items so I can send them over to EA with hopes they will give the game a 2nd look (I know! I know! I am being to hopeful...).
I have started a thread here which pretty much states what I am looking for, and I have also posted a list of items that were compiled at GR.org back in March that cover just about all the balance changes needed. Chime in and post your issues and do it as quick as possible because the ball rolling.
For those of you looking for some humor within Middle Earth we have found that BTToons which is apart of our community site BFME Tournaments has posted a comic yesterday about BFME 2's RoTWK. So strap up and join the WK army here.
The3rdAge is hosting an online tournament for the BFME mod Elven Alliance July 8th to July 21st. Sign ups are open and they would love to see all the BFME community join this tournament. If you want more information on this tournament, jump into our forums here and read up on how to join.
With my new Laptop online, and all things setup how they should be I am now able to push forward all the sweet maps our community has been working on. Below we have a handful of BFME2 & RoTWK custom maps. Make sure to download them and give them a try online.
It has been pretty quite on the BFME Series front since the late release of patch 2.01 for Rise of the With-King. I did dig up some information that EA might start on another patch for Rise of the Witch-King but that has yet to be confirmed. But another topic has risen that anyone who is everyone should take note of and that is a petition for BFME3.
Now we all know the community is split about EA making another game in the series, and that another company could do better etc.. etc.. But I disagree I think EA has what it takes to make another SWEET!!! BFME Series title and they extended the license to do it. So join us in signing this petition to urge EAs upper management to allow for a BFME3. Its pretty easy, login into the forums and post here to add your name.
I have been pretty busy with the new addition to my family in the last weeks and I apologize for the lack of news during that time. But things have settled and order has been restored here at MEV.
In this time I took a small break to go on one of my famous hunting trips. It seems these trips being when mention of a patch comes about. But I took a trip on the internets and got myself one of those nifty elephant guns, I took it around to shot all those pink elephants that show up and low & behold behind one of them a small note appeared... one this note it talked about the possibility of EA working on a patch to fix a few critical issues in RoTWK patch 2.01. Now take in mind this is just a small note and has yet to be confirmed. But none the less it is a hint that EA is working on something! until next time...

It looks as if most of the community feels the same way about patch 2.01. First off it was late, and 2nd off by the time we played it "if we played it" It never took off like it would have if it was released months earlier. Its a shame the online community for this series has dropped due to lack of interest from EA. The only glimmering hope would be an announcement for a new BFME3 or something along those lines.
Our community seems to have grown in the mapping department as I have been getting a ton of new maps submitted. If you have a map submitted to me and it isn't posted it should be up shortly, along with that I almost have reviewed all of the maps from the Map Contest. So while you wait for the winner sit tight and play some of these new community maps.

It looks as if most of the community has downloaded the new patch for RoTWK, and in general we haven't had to many complaints about the patch, which bring up the new poll that is posted.
Our community members have taken the time once again to create a new map for middle earth along with creating a custom mini mod for RoTWK to allow a few missing heroes to be in the game again.
I mentioned news about a Rise of the Witch-King tournament about 1 month ago. Well the tournament has taken place, and a winner has been announced.
