Extended Portable Playing Power? Holy Alliteration, Batman!
The new PS3 Controller?
Ever since the playstation 3 came out, there has been numerous talk of the playstation 3 interacting with the playstation portable in terms of gameplay. When will we see a playstation 3 game make use of the playstation portable as a controller?
-- Justin Boone
Hey Justin, not sure if we'll ever see it as a PS3 controller by itself -- there's no Sixaxis control in a PSP, nor does it have the battery life or the buttons that a PS3 controller has. If anything, it'll be a peripheral for a title, but as of right now, that hasn't been a feature that any developer has been showing off or taking advantage of in their upcoming titles.

Ethan Returns...
I have a real question this time.
When I was on my way to my local game store to buy a PSP when I passed by the pet shop and saw a puppy in the window. What would be a better use of my birthday money: a PSP or a puppy? (Yes, I'm a kid. Why else would I consider spending all of that money on cookies?)
-- Ethan
As much as I like puppies, I'd probably say get the PSP. They're easier to take care of, there's no mess afterwards, and you don't have to worry about bathing and picking up after it. Besides, if you can afford a PSP, you can afford a puppy as well.

The PSP From The Future?
I was looking at the concept psp picture and I noticed it had touch buttons. We can pretty much assume the psp 2 will have power and graphics close to next gen, but do you think sony could at least consiter touch buttons to remove cramps?
-- Jason
First of all, what are you talking about? Second, we have no idea when or even if there will be a PSP 2, so you're probably wasting your time with false information. Third, if there is a redesign, it probably will be smaller and more ergonomic to reduce cramping in the hands.

Disappearing Silent Hill???
I was recently reading your silent hill origins impressions and I thought "wasn't this supposed to be a digital graphic novel?". What happened to that? Don't get me wrong, a new silent hill game would be great but I thought a digital graphic novel would be perfect for the series and for the psp. I loved the Metal Gear digital graphic novel, so naturally I thought a Silent hill one would be great. So was that idea scrapped or what?
-- Andy
Hey Andy, what you're thinking of is The Silent Hill Experience, which came out last year. It didn't get a lot of fanfare or attention and basically snuck its way onto store shelves last April. But it is a digital graphic novel with multiple episodes. I've got a copy myself and like it quite a bit.

Where's Gabe Logan?
Is there any news on a sequel to Syphon Filter Dark Mirror? The original was the best game on PSP and saved the Syphon Filter series from getting flushed down the toilet.
-- Miranda
Miranda, as of right now, we haven't heard anything definite on a sequel to Dark Mirror, but due to the popularity and incredible gameplay, it probably wouldn't be a stretch to assume that this won't be the last we've heard of Gabe and Lian.

Get me a power pack, stat! I've been working on a couple different PSP games recently, but have been really annoyed with the lack of battery life I've been getting. So when I got a call today about a battery that should last up to 15 hours for the PSP, I was pretty excited. I'm going to try to track that down and let you know what I can find out...
