 | | | | | Name our Community Board Contest!!!! Print News | Mail News | Category: Contests Our fabulous Community Board (Off Topic) has a rather general name, as you can see by clicking on the link. However, we feel it's time it had a name of it's own, something snazzy, catchy and that oozes posting appeal ;) And as they won't allow me to name it Beib's House of Hearts and Huggles, it's upto you guys instead ;)
So if you think you can come up with a great name for our Community Board, have a go! Post on this thread with your suggestions, or PM them directly to me if you'd rather remain anonymous :) Not registered? No problem! Sign up here and get your idea posted, doesn't take 60 seconds :)
Keep your entry clean guys! The name must be within the Vault Network's ToS but you may enter as often as you wish :) The contest will run for 1 week from today.
The top name will be decided upon from the list of entries by vault staff and the winner will receive 2 weeks VIP and a perma title of their choice. The top 2 runners up will also receive a perma title of their choice.
Please remember title choices must also be within the ToS and VIP is dependent on history (if applicable) and the final board name selected is dependent on manager approval.

 | | | | | Warhammer Vault Fan Fiction!! Print News | Mail News | Category: Screenshots New Fan Fiction for your reading pleasure today!
Alluvian_Est-Endrati sends us Fanning the Flames. This story is complete with all 10 chapters! A great read!
The Breath of the Gods was strong on this evening, bringing with it the chill of oblivion. From the great north did it come, swirling down past the jagged peaks of this rough land, shining slightly now even in the dark with wondrous colors. Down into the valley was it driven, past rock and under tree till it swirled around a crudely built wooden wall. Long ago had the sun set in the west, for the days were shorter in these northern lands. Yet despite the great dark that surrounded them, the people of the village against the mountain were still active on this night.
High into the night air a great fire leapt up, blazed to sudden glory by the cunning arts of the shaman. His morbid fetishes dangled about him as he threw a pinch of some ground stone into the fire. Sparkles of color could be seen for a moment before the flames rushed higher, bathing all around in a bright blue light. With a cackle of glee he motioned to the assembled crowd, who parted to let two figures walk past them and towards the shaman. One was a man, seemingly in the prime of his years save for a terrible scar along his right forearm. The person he helped forwards was his mate, with the signs of having endured a long pregnancy.

Like Runnin into a Brick Wall Print News | Mail News | Category: Player Editorials Today I am pleased offer my thoughts on the latest poll "Like Running into a Brick Wall"
Mythic has many plans for WAR; one of them is collision detection. Lets look at how this will affect not only game play but strategy as well.
Collision detection is in simple terms, not being able to run through other players, be they friendly or enemy. While we have no word on which version will be in the game, Ill look at both types as to pertain to WAR.

Games Workshop Interview up at MMORPG.com Print News | Mail News | Category: Interviews mmorpg.com has a great interview up with Erik Mogensen, the Licensing manager for Games Workshop's Warhammer Franchise.
MMORPG.com: 2006 was a big year for Games Workshop with the launch of Mark of Chaos, the Dawn of War expansions, and of course the development of Warhammer Online. Can you give us some insight into what is on the plate for 2007?
Erik Mogensen: First of all, Id like to wish you and all the MMORPG.com fans out there a very happy New Year. 2007 is going to be very exciting for all of us!
Obviously, the big news for MMO fans is that there is now less than a year to wait until Warhammer Online: Age of Reckonings release date. We all know how fast a year can go by! Im afraid Im going to have to resort to the old nothings been announced yet regarding other projects. Sorry. Our other licensees THQ and Namco Bandai Games have plans in the works, but Im going to leave it to them to reveal whats cooking when they think the time is right. Ill tell you this much: Im very busy these days!

All by myself Print News | Mail News | Category: Player Editorials To go along with the new poll, some new thoughts..."All by myself."
For many people the ability to solo is an important one. Weather it is that they are coming to the genre for the first time, has very limited play times, or has unusual play times. Whatever the reason it is important to this group to be able to not only solo, but solo well. It is not only this group that wants the ability to solo addressed in WAR. Even the everyday player enjoys soloing once and while. Therefore it is important to them as well that a system be put into place that always them to solo almost, if not as well as group play.

Warhammer Vault Topic of the Week!! "Guild or no Guild" Print News | Mail News | Category: Topic of the Week Brand new Topic of the Week for you today.
Guild or No Guild??
MMORPG's enable us to reach out to people all over the world and interact with them. People we would never have had a snowballs chance in you know where of meeting suddenly are great friends that share in our online adventures. I have always been a huge fan of guilds, I think they bring my enjoyment of my gaming time to an even higher level. On the flip side there are some that have absolutely zero interest in joining a guild, they spend the major part of their gaming time going solo and absolutely love it. So this week I want to know what you think about guilds. Tell me about your play style and any experiences you have had.
If you would like to see your idea here on our Topic of the Week please contact Swanny. If your topic is chosen you can win 1 week forum VIP or a perma board title.

 | | | | | Book of Shadows Chapter Two: Bleak Destiny Print News | Mail News | Category: Topic of the Week Stuart is back after a brief holiday break with Chapter Two: Bleak Destiny.
Our guns are useless, the old dwarf replied, throwing down his pistol. They bear the endowments of the enemy and no mere shot will deter them from their goal. Take up your axes.
The final gunshots exploded across the camp, and then everything fell into a strange quiet.
And then from nowhere I saw a shambling body amble forth and the breath hung in my throat. It looked like a normal person from the side, a young man of perhaps twenty with long blond hair, yet he turned toward me and his face was stricken in a hateful grin. His eyes were entirely black and from his mouth came a lustful, hissing sigh that filled me with panic. Gone were all traces of humanity, replaced by something utterly alien and indelibly malevolent. I could taste the Chaos which surrounded him, could sense the being that inhabited his flesh and worked him as a puppeteer would his marionettes. Bile rose in my throat and I was filled with the urge to vomit, yet my stomach was empty and all I could do was hack in uncontrolled spasms upon the earth. What had happened to this man? Where was Sigmar? How could any of the gods allow this to happen to the innocent?

 | | | | | Console WAR Print News | Mail News | Category: Player Editorials Today I am pleased to share with you my topic of the week "Is a Console port a good idea? "
First off WAR on a console system could be a great idea, that being said, I would like to see two completely different set of servers. The crowd that will play WAR on the PC will for the most part, use outside VOIP software (i.e Teamspeak, Ventrillo, or Skype.) while playing the game.
