The Adventure Company has released the first retail patch for Murder on the Orient Express, bringing the English edition of this 3D point-n-click adventure game by AWE Games to version #1. This upgrade includes half a dozen gameplay corrections as outlined in the accompanying release notes.

The recent US and Polish retail patches for Heroes of Annihilated Empires are now online, upgrading those editions of the top-down 3D fantasy role-playing strategy game by GSC Game World to version 1.1, in sync with the European variants. As before, this version adds two new multiplayer maps, addresses "many critical errors" in the single-player game, applies balance tweaks, and makes other minor corrections and changes.
3000 AD has released the first pair of movie trailers for Galactic Command, revealing more of their 3D planetary and space-combat game in development. The two low-res movies together offer a whopping 27 minutes of space and planetary gameplay footage.
Cenega has issued a Polish retail patch for CivCity: Rome, upgrading this language edition of the ancient 3D management strategy game by Firefly Studios and Firaxis to version 1.1, in sync with the previous updates. As before, "Beyond routine upgrades, this patch includes some noteworthy features that make the game more accessible, like shortcuts, Kids Mode, Auto Save, advanced camera options and the Undo Feature which allows a brief window of time for you to change your mind after deleting a building."

After a false start early this week, Muzzy Lane Software has re-released the updated playable demo for Making History: the Calm & the Storm, again renewing the chance to try out their upcoming 3D turn-based World War II grand strategy game. As before, this pre-release demo contains one scenario playable with all eight nations for a limited number of turns, and this upgrade "incorporates improvements to Artificial Intelligence, User Interface and fixes of some minor bugs."
Bohemia Interactive has issued a dedicated server for the playable demo of Armed Assault, the sample of their contemporary tactical first-person shooter. This version 1.03 build 5510 distribution contains a dedicated server executable and instructions for hosting standalone demo games.

A year after the first beta, Wasatchware has released an updated playable beta demo for Road Trip 2006, their upcoming highway driving simulation. This beta2 demo features a new track, other traffic, new animated scenery objects, and other improvements.
Alientrap has issued a new release for Nexuiz, advancing their free (GPL-ed) futuristic multiplayer deathmatch shooter based on the Quake engine to version 2.2.2. You can upgrade from the previous v2.1 and 2.2.1 or use the updated full install, but details on the changes in this (presumably minor) upgrade are not available. Update: The list of new minor features and bug fixes has now been added.
Akella has released a Russian playable demo for Tarr Chronicles, offering the first opportunity to try out the sci-fi role-playing space-combat game in the works at Quazar Studio. There are no details on the contents of this demo and it's entirely in Russian, so your parsec-age may vary if you don't command the language beyond 'da' and 'njet'.
