Burned
Just read your article on the upcoming Burnout Dominator, sounds great. Looks like my PS2 will be hanging around a bit longer!
I see from the article that EA's UK Studio is listed as developer. Is this studio also known as Criterion, or are they seperate? There has been some discussion regarding this on various forums. Just curious, if Criterion is in fact also working on current-gen Burnout game, then that is great news.
Thanks in advance!

It's a separate studio. Criterion is focused on Burnout 5 right now and will likely at most work as a consultant on Dominator. We don't really know anything else about the game yet, so beyond that your guess is as good as ours.

Franchise Mirabella
Ok, i like this list, i agree with most of
it. But come on, Clancy hasn't progressed the gameing standards in any way, shape or form. Rainbow six did a very good job when it was first realesed, but nothing since then has pushed the boundries of great game play. Now, im not sure of the criteria, mabey comercial success is a larger factor, but there is better out there than Clancy.
PS. As much as i love our little crono, the crap that is Chrono Cross should drop it right off the list. and why is Diablo missing? nothing except Everquest and ultima has done more for the mmorpg experence.

I beg to differ. Rainbow Six: Vegas' cover system is fantastic, as is the rappelling. The previous games have done a lot as well, more than I can list here. The pre-planning and debriefing in the original was unique, and the later games have had some pretty interesting modes and great chess match gameplay.

In the game for ps2 Horsez i cant find the library key to get in to the library to talk to the person i need to talk to to get the key to the attic if you could help me out that would be great or make some kind of walkthrough or anything to help any of us out on this extreamly confusing game thanks
-- ashley
I can't help you because that's not really my style of game (I prefer the Barbie titles), but I would suggest that you hit up our message boards and see if anyone can help you.

Tarantino?
I know that the IGN staff likes nothing more than a good beat-em-up with blood being a particularly favourite among blood-thirsty gamers like myself. And perhaps the more adventurous of us like to check out games that are a little tetchy, stuff that people might be inclined to stay away from, if only for the simple fascination
I'm just curious though, do any of you enjoy playing controversial games and is there a line you would not dare to cross when it comes to content?

This is a very interesting question. There are some obvious things that I'd avoid that I shouldn't have to mention - the sorts of things that get you on offender lists. But as far as violence goes, it all depends on how it's presented. In the case of something like God of War, all of the violence makes sense in the setting and so it's not a problem. On the other hand, when you're talking about something like Postal 2 where you can urinate on dead bodies and set them on fire just for the hell of it, well, it looks like it's violent just to push buttons. For me, it's all about the setting and presentation, and whether it's there because it should be or because it can be.

When do you think the PS2 will drop to $99?
-- Travis
Not until sometime next year. The system is still selling really well, so there's no reason for Sony to lower its price yet. And with the original Xbox practically dead at this point, it doesn't really have much competition.

So it's almost that time of year again. We can all finally sit back next to a warm fireplace, eat some crazy amounts of food and play the games that we'd missed this past year. I'm certainly looking forward to it.
Although, part of me says it's a large amount of time that's simply in the way of God of War II's release.
