Battlefront.com has released the final playable demo for DropTeam, once again renewing the opportunity to try out this 3D sci-fi action strategy game by TBG Software. This is a combined single- and multiplayer demo that includes installers for Windows, Linux and Mac OSX, and as before it offers a single scenario called Raid that "takes place on an inhabitable moon called Hopewell."

As promised, Electronic Arts has released new retail patch for Battlefield 2142, bringing the futuristic multiplayer 3D action game by Digital Illusions to version 1.10. This patch adds a spectator function, gameplay corrections, balance tweaks, multiplayer enhancements, bug fixes and more, and as usual it's accompanied by corresponding Unranked dedicated servers v1.06.25.0 in Win32 and Linux flavors.

B-ALive and Deep Silver have issued a new retail patch for Wildlife Park 2, upgrading their animal theme park management strategy game to version 1.11. Detail on the changes in this release have however not been provided.

As promised, Sunflowers has now released the first retail patch for ANNO 1701, bringing the German edition of the 3D trading management strategy sequel by Related Designs Software to version 1.01. This update adds a number of new interface features and addresses a wide variety of gameplay, AI, balance, multiplayer and other issues.
There is an updated full install as well as a new client patch for Alien Arena 2007 to bring the free (GPL-ed) futuristic multiplayer deathmatch shooter by COR Entertainment to version 6.02. This upgrade adds real-time lighting on models, a joust mode, killing spree notifications, splash damage on plasma weapons, server enhancements, client side optimizations, bug fixes, and much more.
Playlogic has issued another new retail patch for Age of Pirates: Caribbean Tales, advancing the third-person buccaneering role-playing sequel by Akella to version 1.5. Oddly enough this release is not compatible with the previous version 1.43, and it merely updates save-game compatibility along with (re)applying the v1.43 changes.
Bohemia Interactive has released new retail patches for Armed Assault to update the German and Czech editions of their recently released contemporary tactical first-person shooter to version 1.02. This upgrade includes gameplay and balance tweaks, networking improvements, plenty of bug fixes and more, and a new version 1.02.5103 dedicated beta server is also available.
There is a new movie trailer for Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, showing more of this near-future 3D real-time strategy sequel being developed at EA Pacific. This movie runs for a minute and a half to provide brief profiles of the GDI and NOD sides in the game, including about half a minute of in-game footage from each.
Relic Entertainment has quietly released the first retail patch for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Dark Crusade, updating their sci-fi 3D real-time strategy expansion pack to version 1.11. This patch adds "adds subtitles to loading screens and in-game movies" and restores multiplayer compatibility between all language editions.
The first movie trailer for Titan Quest: Immortal Throne has been released, revealing more of the upcoming mythological 3D action role-playing expansion pack by Iron Lore Entertainment. This diary trailer comes in two sizes with producer Mike Verrette offering an overview of the add-on's new features in four minutes of (oddly horizontally compressed) interview and in-game footage.
