For our poll this week, we are asking you fine folks if you are looking forward to the auction houses where you will be able to buy and sell salvage and inventions. Do you think it will add a new dimension to the game or do you think it's a waste of time? Hit the poll and let us know!
Auction Houses Popping up[ Comment ] Print News | Mail News As posted on our forums a little while ago, Wentworths Auction houses seemed to have popped up all over Paragon City. Now it seems there are auction houses popping up in the Rogue Isles. Here's a screen of the one found in Mercy Island. I guess buying things that fell off a truck is quite literal in this game. Oh, and doesn't the truck look a little familiar? Thanks to joroq for the heads up! You can check this thread on the official forum for more information!

CohVault Poll - Playing Time[ Comment ] Print News | Mail News It's a new week and that means a new poll! Our last poll asked whether or not you thought a City of Heroes cartoon would work and the majority of you thought it would. It's something that I would like to see for sure, but I'd like to see the TV show SledgeHammer come back and that's never going to happen. For the poll this week, we are asking how much time you spend playing CoX in a given week. Be honest! Hit the poll an let us know!
Topic of the Week - Marvel Universe[ 18 Comments ] Print News | Mail News So with the Marvel Universe MMO coming up in the future, will your loyalty stay with City of Heroes? Since not much has been said about the Marvel MMO, let's just say that it will be just like CoX, but instead of the signature heroes like Statesman and Positron, they will be Captain America and Ironman and instead of fighting against Recluse and Mako it would be characters like Doc DOOM and Magneto. Almost identical games but with heroes and villains that most people already know from comics. Would you still stick with City of Heroes or make the jump to Marvel? Of course this is just a hypothetical question since whether or not the game will actually be like that isn't known, but if it is...where would you stand?
"Everyone will be receiving a free respec in an update that will follow Issue 8 going live. Castle talked about some of the changes included in this coming update on the blaster forums a bit here where he talked about some buffs coming to some blaster stuff. Because there will be these, and other, power changes, it will warrant a free respec for everyone."
Yay for Blasters getting some love. And for a freespec.

CohVault Poll - CoX Cartoon[ 7 Comments ] Print News | Mail News It's poll time! This week we are asking you fine fellows and fellowettes (I know it's not a word) if you would like to see a City of Heroes/Villains cartoon? Do you think it would work if it was done right? If not, why not? If so, what cartoon would you like to see it in the style of? I'd personally go for the old Batman: The Animated series style. Dark and action packed with an awesome writing team.
For our previous poll, we asked what villain AT you liked the most and I think this was the first time I picked the winner of a poll. The Masterminds came away with a huge lead to take the win. Corruptors came in second, Brutes were third and Stalkers and Dominators tied for last.

Google Ad Help Print News | Mail News The Vault Network is asking the community to help us preserve our "Don't Destroy the Game" philosophy and mantra. Our parent company IGN has partnered with the good guys over at Google to run its "Google Ads" across all of IGN's sites, which includes the Vaults. With that comes the chance of Google running a gold seller-type ad that might slip by the existing filter we help set up to ensure these ads are blocked. Because we told Google that these gold farmer type ads suck and don't belong on the Vault Network. They were more than happy to work with us to keep such ads off our sites. So, we will be watching to make sure we remove any that happen to slip through and muck up our stuff!
There is a gold lining to this situation (pun intended!). We have a system in place where any community member can submit an ad they might see via a simple and easy web form. You only need to provide one of two pieces of information: Name of Ad and/or the Link for the Ad -- that's it. Click here to learn more and where to submit.
