Apolyton Civilization Site (ACS) published the fifth in a ten-part serial entitled, "Three Men and a Victory" from 'ApolyCon '06'. Three representatives from Civilization IV developer Firaxis Games participated in a multiplayer tournament for the game. The game's Lead Designer Soren Johnson, fellow Designer/Programmer Jon "Trip" Schafer and Software Engineer Alex "alexman" Mantzaris went head-to-head with an on-looking crowd... and a camera documenting it all.

Sid Meier’s Railroads! for PC is available now in stores across North America and will be available at European retail stores on October 27th. On the release, Sid Meier commented: “Since we pioneered the empire-building strategy genre, we are excited to have the opportunity to create the next great game. With the advances in technology we’ve managed to create an experience that is accessible to gamers of all ages, yet challenging to master.”

I have to tell you: Railroads! is as good as the original, if not better (and I am not just talking about graphics here). You do need a good machine to run it though. So go out and get this next great Sid game!

Take 2 announced yesterday that Sid Meier's Railroads! has gone gold, meaning that the product is finalized and CD printing process has begun. The game will be released in the US on October 17, and in Europe on October 27. The train has left the station...
