October 20, 2006 - Next Wednesday, gamers will begin forming their own Ultimate Alliance with Activision's new Marvel action-RPG. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance puts you in control of more than two-dozen heroes in a quest to stop Dr. Doom and the Masters of Evil from taking over the galaxy.

Each character comes with four costumes. But this isn't just about looking stylish. Each costume has specific upgradeable stats. The suit you wear not only determines how well your hero's rock hard abs show in battle, but can also improve performance.

Activision dug deep in the archives for some of these costumes. While Spider-Man has more changes in dress than can be counted on fingers and toes, Dr. Strange and Thor aren't quite as fortunate. Still, every character gets to shine in some extra duds. So what are these alternate looks? We managed to sneak a peek into the closets of six different Marvel heroes to reveal their full selection of outfits.
