Newest video shows some features... October 03, 2006, 02:37:48 PM by KhaosHatter
|
JeuxVideo.tv has released a very nice video, showing some features that we havent seen before. They show how the weapons change based on Modifications, and they show the Cabalist changing into a really cool demon, go ahead and watch.
Note:The way it downloads is really annoying so i suggest that you play it through the first time without watching it so it doesnt have to load.

Hope you like it ~Khaos(Alter)

TGS Round up September 25, 2006, 11:31:37 AM by Reaper
|
Well as I wasn't on much this weekend and I thought one news post about the things I missed from TGS would be the best way to go about it.
4gamer.net 4Gamer.net has published several new screenshot's of Hellgate:London, you can find the screenshots Here.
IGN IGN have posted a hands on account of Hellgate: London and had this to say about it:
The Japanese version of Hellgate: London was available for play at Namco-Bandai's TGS 2006 booth. Three character classes at varying levels could be chosen in this build, and we went with a level 10 character. Wielding dual katanas, this guy seemed like the coolest choice anyway. A safe zone was the first thing that loaded. Wandering around we found a number of NPCs willing to engage us in conversation, though didn't understand any of it since we can't read Japanese. As a result, we went outside to hit enemies with swords. you can read the full hands on preview Here.
Gamespot Gamespot held an interview with Flagships Bill Roper at TGS as part of it's Gamespot Live talk show program, if you are a memeber of gamespot you can download the recording of the show Here.
Gamebe.com French site Gamebe.com has posted it's hands on thoughts of Hellgate:London from TGS, gamebe had this to say about it:(Babel fish translation)
The first minutes of play put immediately in environment: a catch in fast and effective hand, a tunnel of subway (we are in London) filled with disasters - and aggressives - small beasts, and especially the feeling which one did not finish pressing on the trigger. The waves of enemies follow one another at rather constant intervals, with obviously this style very diablo-like (since it is well as that which the play is presented) which wants that an enemy commits suicide with an extreme facility... in any case concerning the simplest monsters. These are only these that we met during our meeting of demonstration, and they had dja the advantage of being rather varied. Obviously it is a question of collecting many the items quickly released with the passage (weapons, armours, etc), and one thus advances rather quickly - initially in the subway then in the devastated streets of the English capital. you can find the full article and an ingame video Here
Game Watch Japanese site Game watch landed an interview with Bill Roper at TGS, here are a few of those questions and answers for you:(Babel Fish Translation)
Game Watch: Please teach the basic specification of multiple play mode.
Roper:With the stand-alone game is not possible, community function only of the multiple player game, it makes the economic system and densely it is. Especially inside the group to make the human relations where the user is smooth in regard to fight and the community, of the kind of surface which becomes easy is thought carefully.
Game Watch: The multiple play mode "of Hellgate:London" has imagined the game design like MO+MMO like "Guild Wars". It probably is how to become final in regard to the specification of multiple play mode?
Roper:There is MO and a MMO each element. "Guild Wars" is the circumstances sale of expansion such as 1 year later from substance sale, but you think that with Flagship we would like to keep renewing on occasion. In addition, when "Guild Wars" is, keeping appearing in battle in 8 human plays, 3 people coming out midway, the stripe uninformed, you play the level with 5 people not to obtain, level being too high, there is a weak point that the user stops being able to keep being attached to the level of stage.
"Hellgate: With London ", the part of that is made soft. It is possible to add 3 people whom it comes out midway, while playing. In addition, remuneration becomes equivalent of 5, but degree of hardness going down to equivalent of 5, it is possible to keep continuing QUEST. Making the friend list and the guild list, those where the user is easy to make the group, to participate is easy, have become major feature of multiple player mode.
Game Watch: Lastly tell concerning service schedule.
Roper:First closed beta it is the schedule which in North America is started to end of year. That while gradually keeping expanding contents, also the reaction of the user asking, it keeps developing the game itself. Especially until tight it is not the case that you think of scheduling, satisfaction it is finished in the contents which go, it is the intention of keeping boiling down contents thoroughly. I am going insane... September 23, 2006, 12:11:36 AM by KhaosHatter
|
This is a quote from www.hellgateguru.com:
"Gamespot.com.cn Interviews Namco Friday, September 22, 2006 Vivian at 21rpg has given us word that Gamespot.com.cn has interviewed Namco at the Tokyo Game Show. Here's the translation in English for your reading pleasure:
Q: Why does Namco want to publish Hellgate: London? A: FSS is very strong group of game developers, they developed Diablo and so on, and Hellgate London has given us a great impresssion. It is a really good game and players could play it online, like Half Life.
Qo you think that the Japanese public will accept Hellgate: London as an FPS game? A: It is hard for Japanese gamers to accept American style and FPS games, but we 're willing to try in Japan to see what happens.
Q: How well was Half Life received by the Japanese gaming public? A: Very few of them played it.
Q: So does that mean you are ready to pay the price if Hellgate: London is unsuccessful in Japan? A: Kinda.
Q: How do you think Hellgate: London will do in the Chinese market? A: Most Chinese gamers use PCs (In Japan, most gamers use consoles like the Playstation, XBox and so on) and it is easy for them to accept FPS games, so that's why I think Hellgate: London will be successful in China."
What i got from this was that even Namco, thinks that Hellgate london is an FPS, am i wrong to interpret it that way? I couldnt believe this when i read it, how many times must it be mentioned that HG:L is NOT a FPS?!
