Venom Games was founded in February 2003 by former members of Rage's Newcastle Studio. Based in Newcastle UK, the studio produced Expendable (PC, PSX) and Rocky (Xbox, PS2) in its time at Rage, as well as involved its team in another 6 or 7 titles. After completion of Rocky: Legends for Ubisoft, Venom became part of the Take 2 Interactive group of companies, under its 2K Games label, and moved into new offices in July 2005. The studio's head is Peter Johnson.
