The gaming world is suddenly awash with WII-themed real-time strategy betas and demos. CDV broke the seal a few weeks back with the release of the War Front: Turning Point beta on FilePlanet, and THQ followed up quickly with Company of Heroes.

Now Ubisoft has entered the fray: the Faces of War demo is available now on FilePlanet! Besides "man vs. aliens," no topic seems as overdone as WII ... but I have to admit -- these latest titles ARE taking some really innovative approaches to the subject. Don't take my word for it. THQ & Relic's new World War II real-time strategy game has been kicking up the buzz for a while now. Despite focusing on the way overdone WWII genre, it's managed to excite event the grumpiest gaming critic.
