Reason #372 to play STACKED
When you empty your opponents' virtual pockets in STACKED, you'll never have to worry about them later
hunting you down and exacting their revenge.
The
online gambling legal debate is as fierce as ever. Thankfully, the government can't interrupt our daily STACKED marathons.
Cardplayer has their own
High Stakes Poker preview.
2+2 wants to know if you endorse
ridiculing a blind thief when he's been caught.
High-Stakes Poker Season 2
Everyone is excited about the
next season of High Stakes poker, featuring STACKED's own Daniel Negreanu.
2+2 can't wait either.
The Problems with Playing Live Poker
A
recent problem I had at a live poker room you'll never have to suffer when you play STACKED -- yet another reason to never leave the house.
Golf, Make A Wish, & A Weekend
Take a break from STACKED -- I know, I know, I agree it's absolutely terrific, but let it cool for five minutes here and there every day -- and enter
The Negreanu Zone.
Harrington on Hold 'em: The Workbook
When you think of the best poker books, what names come to mind? "The Theory of Poker," "Small Stakes Hold 'em," "Hold 'em Poker for Advanced Players," "Getting Started in Hold 'em," "Harrington on Hold 'em" #1 and #2, and a number of other Two Plus Two books. This month, two others debuted that are must reading in order to properly dominate the STACKED competition you'll face: "No Limit Hold 'em: Theory and Practice" as well as "Harrington on Hold 'em" #3:
The Workbook.
WSOP Final Table - Watch on PPV
After STACKED, this deal might be
the best deal this year.
2+2 agrees. Who are you predicting for the final table? I've got the final nine figured out:
These Seven, plus
This Guy, and then some
Random Nobody.
Countdown To The World Series
PokerNews continues their countdown to the second biggest event of 2006 (naturally, the release of STACKED was the biggest).
Celebrity Poker with Phil Hellmuth
What does 2+2 think of Mr. "Hell Mouth" -- hint: it's about as
pretty as him.
What Happened Last Week in Poker..?
If you're like me, you barely remembered to bathe and feed yourself, as you've been that wrapped up in the wonder that is STACKED. (In the interest of full disclosure, I only remembered the latter portion because I had the good sense to stock up on nachos and soda before STACKED got here ... and the former portion, well, let's just say that I'm waiting for my clothes to disintegrate before changing.) That's why my friend David Lloyd is such a swell fella, as he
summarizes the week for us -- so we can get back to dominating the competition in STACKED.
Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge Kicks off
It sounds
pretty interesting, but that could be the sleep depravity I'm experiencing as I try to get in even more hours of STACKED in each day.
Daniel wants you to tear it up in STACKED, thus he continues to
dole out his secrets.
Now that the WSOP features a
bracelet actually worth winning, Bill Fillmaff might take the tourney seriously and enter.
I'm not really sure what this story is all about, but all that matters is that it
involves Shannon Elizabeth.
STACKED's Daniel Negreanu: 18 a Day
If you're like me, you're thinking it means 18 hours a day of playing STACKED, as that's what I've been averaging in the last week. STACKED's main man is talking about a
different diversion.

WPT Player of the Year Gavin Smith
I have an amusing Gavin Smith anecdote from the WPT Foxwoods, but it's not really for mixed company -- ask me at the WSOP. Until then, while you're waiting for your next STACKED match, hear all about the current
WPT player of the year.
When They Don't Know They Cannot Win
Sometimes you're drawing dead -- or very slim. Learn to drop those hands,
unlike me, and you'll excel at STACKED.
When he's not too busy working on the greatest poker video game ever created, Daniel Negreanu slaves away behind his computer in hopes of improving your game. This time he assembles his
top 10 list of rookie mistakes.
6, Quitting while you're ahead
Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is no system for figuring out when it's time to pack up and leave. The worst plan that many rookies utilize is the one where they hit and run by quitting after very small wins, but continue to play when they're behind. If anything, that's the exact opposite of what you should be doing.
Why does the "Big Game" Exist?
An interesting question is raised at 2+2:
why does the 'big game' exist, when the losers could move down in limits a bit and find a game they can beat?
In a particularly humorous yet insightful response, a respected poster responds:
"Why not just title the question, 'how does the game of poker played for money exist?'"S.C. Poker Players go to Court
PokerNews follows up on the story of a
raided South Carolina home game. It appears that 18 of the 22 players have decided to fight the man rather than pleading guilty and paying a small fine.
Join the discussion at 2+2 about
Celebrity Poker, which as you know now features Phil Hellmuth. As with most (all) things in life, 2+2ers didn't care much for it.

June 2+2 Online Mag Has Been Posted
I realize you're all very busy with STACKED, and I cannot blame you as it is a gaming experience like no other. I can help improve your STACKED time by offering you some revolutionary poker thinking that you'll find in the
latest issue of 2+2.
"No Limit Hold 'em: Theory & Practice," "Small Stakes Hold 'em," and "Getting Started in Hold 'em" author Ed Miller published a dozen phenomenal pieces this month that you should not miss, including some from 2+2 poker-heavyweights like himself, Mason Malmuth, and Ray Zee. Here's a few others that I want to highlight as they will be of immediate help to your playing of STACKED:
Tommy Angelo "Issues a Challenge"
What's the challenge? Read
his article and find out. And, remember this paraphrased nugget: you can get better at anything by getting better at everything else.
William Jockusch's "Blockers"
Start accounting for dead cards -- it will
help your game.
Jared Lunsford's "Raise ... or All-In?"
Poker theory can help you
make this decision.
Drew Pruitt's "Analyzing the Free Card"
We've all heard about raising the flop in position so we can get to the river for "free," but Drew
takes a look at this old standby maneuver.
Barron Vangor Toth's "Over the Edge" VI
In the
latest installment in this series, I take a look at a poker professional you may never have heard about ... until now.
Daniel wants to make sure that you're not
playing scared with your monster draw.
When he's not doing the backstroke on a poker table, Scott Fischman
seems like a pretty cool guy.
Who is the most
respected poker player out there? Only 2+2 can settle this!
STACKED love abounds.

poker blog weigh in with their thoughts.
