Exclusive Clip: 'SILENT HILL'

IGN FILMFORCE now has up an exclusive clip from the much anticipated Christophe Gans horror flick "Silent Hill", which, again, for those of you who don't know, opens TODAY!

New Poster Art, Details On Sullivan's 'THE CHAIR'

HorrorChannel.com now has up the pretty cool teaser poster for Brett Sullivan's newly titled "The Chair" (previously known as "Hush"), his follow up to very good, "Ginger Snaps 2".

Horror Channel has also learned that the decision has been made not to show "The Chair" at all, neither press nor potential distributors, until it’s 100% done, and to that end they’ve approached Kurt Swinghammer, who worked with Sullivan on the "Snaps" sequel, to work the score end of things.

Guillermo Del Toro Answers 'THE CALL OF THE SEA'

Hollywoodreporter.com is reporting that Guillermo del Toro has come on board to executive produce Jorge Olguin's horror film "The Call of the Sea." The film, which marks Chilean helmer Olguin's third feature, stars Leonor Varela ("Innocent Voices") and Santiago Cabrera ("Empire").

Penned by Olguin, "Call of the Sea" is based on a legend about a ghost ship that navigates the cold waters of a mysterious Chilean island in search of the souls of local fisherman. The story centers on a marine biologist (Varela) who discovers that many of the legends are related to her family's past.

'ALIEN VS. PREDATOR 2' Coming In 2007

Various Sources are reporting that 20th Century Fox has scheduled an August 10, 2007 release date for "Alien vs. Predator 2". No other details are available at this time.

Zombies Want Navi Rawat 'UNDEAD OR ALIVE'

Productionweekly.com reports that Navi Rawat ("Numbers") will be the female lead in Glasgow Phillips' "Wanted: Undead or Alive". Chris Kattan and James Denton co-star. The film will be shot at Alburquerque's Bonanza Creek Ranch in May.

In "Wanted", Army deserter Elmer Winslow gets himself and local Cowboy Luke Budd out of a tight spot in jail, but after robbing the evil Sheriff Claypool, stealing his money, and fleeing the town, they find themselves with an angry posse on their trail. Joining Elmer and Luke is Apache warrior Sue (Rawat), who's out to wreak vengence on behalf of her decimated people; her plan is to attack the U.S. Army wherever she can find it, and she takes Elmer up on his offer to go with her to the nearest Army outpost he knows. Their plans are complicated when they discover that, as a result of the great Apache Geronimo's curse on the white man, all the people of the surrounding areas have turned into zombies - and pretty soon they're all after Elmer, Luke and Sue.

Hepburn To Star In Tarantino's 'DEATH PROOF'

Moviehole.net, along with MTV.com, is reporting that "Find me Guilty” up-and-comer Cassandra Hepburn is in talks for a starring role in Quentin Tarantino’s half of "Grind House" (entitled "Death Proof").

"At least I wouldn't die in the film. My character wouldn't. That's a good thing," says Cassandra Hepburn. On Tarantino: "... When I met with him, he was just this really down-to-earth, really nice, simple man who loves to make films, just like me." For now, Hepburn will be sitting by the phone and keeping her summer open: "I was told it starts shooting mid-June," she said. Mickey Rourke and “Wolf Creek” star John Jarratt are also said to be involved in the QT effort.

New 'MASTERS' DVD Cover Art and Release Dates

Fangoria.com is reporting that AMAZON has just revealed the cover art for another pair of "Masters of Horror DVDs, due from Anchor Bay June 27th.

John Landis’ "Deer Woman" and Lucky McKee’s "Sick Girl", two of the series’ more dark-humored entries, which will be available for $16.98 each or in a two-pack for $29.98.

O'Bannon Returns To Director's Chair With 'THEY BITE'

Variety.com reports that horror film writer Dan O'Bannon, former Paramount exec Brian Witten and producer Rob Gallagher are developing the sci-fi thriller "They Bite."

O'Bannon, whose credits include "Alien", "Alien vs. Predator", "Return of the Living Dead" and "Total Recall", will write and direct the project, which is expected to go into production this year.

Talking 'SILENT HILL' With Christophe Gans

ComingSoon.net recently had a chance to speak exclusively with "Silent Hill" director Christophe Gans, from Toronto, where he was putting the final touches to the DVD and television versions of the horror flick, before returning home to France after almost two years in Canada working on the movie.

Fishburne Turns From The Hunter Into The 'PREY'

Variety.com is reporting that Laurence Fishburne is attached to topline and James Marsh is directing Sobini Films' psychological thriller "Prey." A fall start date is being eyed.

Jerrold Brown's script follows a man who sets out on a solo hunting expedition in the middle of winter and severely injures his leg. He is rescued by a mysterious trapper with secretly sinister intentions.

The New 007 To Become The Next Satan?!

TheHollywoodNews.com is reporting that word is spreading through some of the crew that new 007 Daniel Craig has been talking about his first project after wrapping as Bond, and it appears he'll be playing Lucifer in the adaptation of Glenn Duncan's fantastic novel "I, Lucifer".

Their source also states that Craig says his costar (playing Declan Gunn - a failed British author whose body Lucifer takes up temporary residence) will be Ewan McGregor.

Scott Derrickson Is Set To Helm 'PARADISE LOST'

Hollywoodreporter.com is reporting that Legendary Pictures is developing a live-action film of one of English literature's watershed works, John Milton's "Paradise Lost." Scott Derrickson, who co-wrote and directed "The Exorcism of Emily Rose," is attached to direct and will help develop the screenplay.

Written in 1667, Milton's epic poem revolves around the fall of man and the classic battle of good vs. evil, telling along the way the story of Satan/Lucifer, the angel who tries to overthrow God, and the temptation of Adam and Eve and their expulsion from the Garden of Eden.
