When I went into Atari's holiday preview event in New York City, I had a lot of unanswered questions. First and foremost, I wanted to get my hands on Demon Stone. Now I didn't know anything about it, other than it had a cool name, so it's safe to say that I was skeptical. However, after playing it for thirty minutes, many of the game's mysteries were revealed to me. In short, I NEED THIS GAME!.."

Through Warforged Eyes - I, Warforged [Post A Comment] - Print News | Mail News Probably one of the most unique elements out of the new Eberrong Campaign Setting, warforged characters allow us to evolve a bit in the realm of fantasy in a strange Pinocchio sort of way.
More interesting is the choice Zubon, one of the D&D; Vault Writers, has made in writing from the perspective of the warforged beings. Jumping at the chance to write for the community, Zubon has written an Introduction to his column Through Warforged Eyes.
Now, understanding constructs of any type isn't my forte, but let's hope Zubon is able to shed some light on them for us all as we reveal more of his writings in the future.
"Zhai is one of the most rare combinations of races found anywhere in the world of the Forgotten Realms. Her mother was Drow, a dark elf from the subterranean city of Menzoberranzan, while her father was a wood elf from the village of Cedarleaf.
Racial combinations that include dark elf almost never involve a loving union, but Zhai's story is atypical. Her father and mother met when he found her mother wounded and left for dead after one of the vicious Drow raids on the surface world. Zhai's father nursed her back to health, and despite their initial enmity, the pair came to know each other and find that they were much more alike than their heritage might indicate. They fell in love and had a child, Zhai...."

Gamespy - Day Four Of Demon Stone Coverage [Post A Comment] - Print News | Mail News Gamespy continues its week of pure Demon Stone love. Tonight's installment has an interview with Todd Hartwig, producer at Atari. Here's a small but healthy sample:
GameSpy: What graphic enhancements are you adding to the game for the PC version?
Todd Hartwig: With a title that pushes the consoles in its other incarnations, Zono will be pulling out a few stops to implement greater depth of field and lighting effects to demonstrate the power of the PC. I would anticipate seeing this manifest itself most notably in the first and ninth levels which offer enormous geometry and a large number of enemies.
Good interview and of course very much worth a read. So go check it out already!

Wizards.Com - The Khoravar: Half-Elves of Khorvaire Print News | Mail News WoTC has a cool backstory up about the Half-Elves of Khorvaire. It's interesting stuff and here's a quick sample for you:
Almost 2,600 years ago, the nation of Aerenal was torn apart by civil war. Tensions between the clerics of the Undying Court and the necromancers of the House of Vol had grown with each new generation, but the manifestation of the Mark of Death and the discovery of half-dragons within the House of Vol were enough to set a spark to the bonfire. Soon the dragons of Argonnessen joined the fray, and when the conflict had settled, the line of Vol was no more.
