Mailbag (August 17, 2004)

Another Legend of Dragoon

Hey,
After Playing "Legend of Dragoon" for the PS, I heard they were developing a sequel, and was anxiously anticipating any news on it. Seeing as how it took 3 years to get the first one out, I wasn't expecting much. Its been a while now though, and I am wondering if the sequel is still in production, or if you have any info on it? The first one had its quirks, but it was still an awesome game, and has the potential for an awesome sequel...

-- Teh Zid

There is no sequel in development that we know of.

-- Ivan

Link It Up

Are the future releases such as: Star Wars Battlefront and Killzone, i-link compatabile?

-- Matty

No, but they should be LAN compatible.

-- Ivan

You Make Us Tearful

Hi, I was just wondering if you were ever planning on reviewing Crimson Tears by Capcom? I am really interested in how you like it, but at this rate, I'm almost beginning to think you're gonna pass on it.

-- Christopher

We reviewed that game on July 21, 2004. Try using the search box located in the top left of the screen to find it, and other games.

Up, Up and EA

I remember reading something earlier in the year about a new Superman game coming out for the PS2 this fall sometime. If this was ever true, is it still true? Any information you could spare about this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

-- Brandon

EA holds the rights to Superman and we expect to see a new game coinciding with the release of the film directed by Bryan Singer. Whether the game will be on PS2 or not is unknown at this time (it could be on PS2, PS3, PSP, Xbox, Xbox 2, a toaster oven, a banana, or even the next GameCube thing-a-ma-thinger).

-- Ivan

Regarding San Andreas

Hey Do You Know If There Will Be Kids In The Game (And Can you Shot them)

-- Felix

Ah, sweet mother of all that is good in just in this world... Hey Banana-boy, who the f*** cares? The more important questions I'd like to know the answers to are: Will you ever be around San Francisco? If so, can I shot you?

-- Ivan

Smack Girls and Seasons

In WWE Smackdown vs. Raw, can you enter a created female superstar in a Bra & Panties match?(hope so) and does the Season mode have a two-player option like back in Know Your Role? (This is something my friends & I have been missing. Oh, one more thing: In Season mode, can you watch a whole episode-all eight or so matches (Again, like in Know Your Role)? Thank You.

-- Michael

If only you knew how often I get these questions. Let's see if this clears it up for you.

1) Created women cannot be used in Bra and Panties. The reason is you'd need to have the proper amount of layers to match the animations; and since it's a specialty match -- that would be difficult to match up.

2) Nope, still no two-player mode.

3) In our early build, season mode only has three-match PPVs. The eight-match PPVs are for user-created ones; and yes, you can watch them all.

The amazing thing is, I will still be sent these questions on a daily basis.

-- Jeremy

SmackDown Costumes

Hey i really enjoy the info provided on your website for wwe smackdown vs raw, but i didn't see anything in there about alternate costumes for the wrestlers. Should we expect about the same amount of alternate costumes as we saw in last year's title? and will you be able to have multiple costumes for you create-a-wreslters like in the old N64 wwf no mercy?

-- Garret

Some of them will have alternate costumes. But only guys like Randy Orton, Batista, Triple H, and John Cena. Sadly, I think it will be a long time before we ever see a SmackDown! game with each wrestler having unique costumes.

Till Next Time

Well folks... Tal made us switch the mailbag format. I hate change and I hate Tal. I don't even have a template anymore; I just have one awkwardly long bastard string of HTML that gives me a giant headache and makes me want to hurt people. Yay, it's totally pointless. I was content with the stupid way we used to do the stupid thing; then, it was just changed at random for no damn reason. It's like saying, "You know what? Why don't we just switch the position of all the keys on your keyboard just to make life exciting again?" No, darn it. You die. Leave my s*** alone.
