August 16, 2004 - At a recent Atari press event, Executive Vice President Wim Stocks dropped a few clues as to what we can expect from Atari in the future.

While the core of his speech focused on current projects such as Pirates!, Demonstone and D&D; Online, Wim also talked a bit about the next series of games Atari plans to develop. While no specific titles were mentioned, Wim said that "some of these titles draw on the Atari legacy" and will be easily recognizable to anyone who has followed the history of Atari.

Enter Atari's continued support for The Matrix franchise. While no new Matrix titles were officially announced at the press conference, Wim did let us know that Atari has plans to continue producing games set in the Matrix universe. "We know the Matrix fans want more," he told us. And "we have a couple more Matrix stories in us."

Expect to hear more about any new announcements from Atari as we hear them.
