August 12, 2004 - Calling all Bay Area Halo bad-asses: now's your chance to strut your stuff in some four-person team action, and do so for a very good cause. An Xbox Halo Charity Tournament is being held Sunday, August 22, in Sunnyvale, CA.

A mere $15 gets you into the tournament, and all proceeds go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting research into a cure for blood-related cancers, as well as supporting patients. Organizer Randy Ksar is running two marathons in honor of a friend who is going through a second bone marrow transplant.

Very real stuff here, folks. And a very real chance to make a difference, and play some Halo, too. All donations are tax-deductible, of course, and there will even be a raffle to win a copy of Halo 2 (for when it ships). Nice.
