Big News! [Post A Comment] Some very exciting news has been announced for those of you waiting to play Guild Wars. The following was posted on the official site.
ArenaNet and NCSoft issued a press release this afternoon announcing the Guild Wars beta. We're excited to revealed our plans for an upcoming Guild Wars World Preview Event which will take place October 29th through 31st.
For fans waiting to experience Guild Wars, or hoping to revisit the game world after our E3 for Everyone Event, this is your chance! Guild Wars will enter its beta period immediately following the Preview Event, as outlined in the press release. Find all the details here.

Delay Rumors There have been some rumors floating around, and there's actually a post discussing it on our forums. I noticed Gaile came to the rescue yet again to answer some questions, and offered some clarification. You can check out that thread right here. You can find Gaile's reply near the bottom of the first page.
If you're too lazy to read the thread, the gist of it is the game will be ready when it's ready. Nobody knows the release date, they're simply focussing on getting things right, which is what everyone wants.

With a new Wednesday comes a second wallpaper in our Guild Wars World desktop series. Today's image is set in a tropical region; you can practically hear the seagulls and feel the balmy breezes of Kryta. Head over to this link to find the wallpaper in your choice of sizes.

Fansite Friday #8 [Post A Comment] As usual, another Friday means another Fansite Friday. This week it's being hosted by a French site, Guild Wars Mondes Persistants. Fear not though, the questions are in both English and French, so everyone can enjoy it.
There's a lot of MMOs. This is pretty clear. There are a few that stand out from the crowd for their licenses or franchises, but there are others that shouldn't be ignored. A couple of these titles are even trying whole new approaches to combat and gameplay style. One of these is Guild Wars, a game that promises a lot of action and strategy with minimal downtime.

Community Day Report [Post A Comment] For those of you interested in knowing what happened during the first Guild Wars community day, the official site has finally posted a report with pictures of the people who went as well as the dev team. It's actually pretty cool, not only did they talk about the game, they actually went out sightseeing in Seattle which I thought was a very nice touch. Be sure to check it out on the official site.
Wallpaper Wednesday [Post A Comment] As usual, a new wallpaper is up on the official Guild Wars site. This weeks theme is a jungle type area, and the region the image is from is called "The Wilds". Check out the wallpaper right here.
Fansite Friday #7 It's that time again! Fansite Friday #7 was hosted by GWOnline.net this week. The questions discuss PvP, missions, and the streaming technology which allows them to let users download content as they play.
