Prime Bundle You probably know this already, but the Metroid Prime Bundle is real. When I was working at Best Buy today, I searched our database and it does exist. Keep up the great work, and have a happy and safe 4th of July! :-)
Matt responds: Cheers on the update. I'm sure Nintendo will kick off a promotion for the bundle in the not too distant future. Cooperate Does Metroid Prime 2 feature a cooperative mode?
Matt responds: No, it doesn't. The game now includes a four-player compatible deathmatch mode, but not a cooperative element. RE Debut With all this glorification of Resident Evil 4, I was wondering...on what console did the Resident Evil franchise begin on? Sega Saturn or Playstation? I do remember seeing Resident Evil (the case) for Sega Saturn, but.....
Matt responds: The original Resident Evil debuted for PlayStation (1) back in 1996. This was the first incarnation of the game. Villagers This has been bugging me for a long time, and I haven't been able to find the answers in any preview on the web so far. Perhaps you can enlighten me with the answer; do the Villagers respawn everytime you reenter an area/restart the game, like Metroid Prime, or is there a limited amount of enemies that stay dead for good, a la the previous Resident Evil games? Thanks alot. IGN rules!
Matt responds: That's a good question, but not one that I can answer for certain yet. What I can tell you is that in the demo I played the supply of villagers seemed endless. The more villagers I killed, the more appeared. I think that there was a time limit to it. You simply had to survive for a certain amount of time and then the demo ended. Whether or not this is an indication of the game as a whole, I'm not sure. Sega and Knights Does Sega or something publish Silicon Knights' next game? That's the latest rumor, anyway.
Matt responds: Survey says: nope. Silicon Knights will announce the details of its new third-party strategy in coming months. Stay tuned for more.
Halo I would like to ask Matt why that euphoria regarding Halo2?? I played the game a lot and i don't saw that experience better when metroid comes to my mind!! Halo is a classic, but not come close to prime in enjoyment!! You said the prime2 don't bring a drastic changes especially in graphical department, but as far as i can see (and for that I saw), halo2 don't make it neither!! I don't see so much improvements in transition "halo-halo2"!! it's the on-line gameplay what makes halo2 better experience?? i could care less!! Matt responds: The original Halo was simply a very well made console first-person shooter. It controlled well and looked great. It was smart and fun. I really liked it, which is why I'm eagerly anticipating the sequel.
That said, I want Metroid Prime 2 more. I want Resident Evil 4 more, too. I guess it's the Nintendo fanboy in me. Send your letter to GameCube Mailbag
